ALL 2020 APPLICATIONS WILL BE HONORED FOR NEXT YEAR'S FESTIVAL

--------------------

Luminaria produces San Antonio’s annual contemporary arts festival. The Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival was scheduled for Saturday, November 14th from 6–11 PM in downtown San Antonio's Hemisfair and provides FREE access to the Arts.

Luminaria invites regional, national, and international artists to submit a proposal for this competitive showcase. Apply between March 10th and April 20th to be part of this luminous after-dark celebration of contemporary arts in San Antonio, Texas.

Budget Description
Luminaria is committed to paying featured artists fair compensation for presentation of their new or existing work. Our fee schedule is $750 for a solo artist and $1,500 for an artist group. At the discretion of the Curators and Executive Director headliners could receive up to $2,500. Luminaria provides exposure to an audience of tens of thousands, publicity of your work, and professional production support.* At last year’s festival, an estimated 25,000 people attended, checking in from all over the city, the nation, and the world. Reasonable support for travel and lodging of national and international artists is also provided. International applicants must have a valid passport and visa. Payment to artists will be remitted at the festival in November 2020.

*Luminaria production support includes electricity, stages, sound equipment, site lighting, artist / stage / event managers, and security. Special production elements within application proposals are the responsibility of the artist.
