| Call Summary The City of Odessa and Odessa Arts are collaborating to select 2D artwork by local artists to be displayed in the Community Art Gallery, located on the fifth floor of City Hall in Odessa. Selected works will be displayed in council chambers and various other locations on the fifth floor from April 2020 through January 31, 2021. Artwork must follow guidelines adopted by City Council, must be assembled and ready to hang on delivery to the City of Odessa. At the conclusion of the exhibit, the City of Odessa may exercise it's privilege to purchase one of the pieces to grow its permanent collection. |

| Project Description The City of Odessa and Odessa Arts are proud to launch a community gallery at City Hall. This project will not only beautify one of our municipal buildings, but will also bring attention to the robust artist community here in Odessa. Selected pieces will be displayed on the fifth floor of City Hall from April 2020 to January 31, 2021.. At the conclusion of the exhibit, the City may choose to exercise the option to purchase one of the pieces to build it's permanent collection. |

| Artwork Location Description The fifth floor of City Hall houses city council chambers, City Manager's office and various other department heads. |
| Eligibility All residents of Odessa and Ector County are encouraged to apply. Works must be created within the past 5 years. You must be a resident of Ector County to enter this competition. All artwork must have been created by the artist making the entry. All artwork must be for sale. |

| Selection Information |
| Selection Process Artwork will be selected by a committee comprising of Odessa Arts staff, City of Odessa Staff and community members. |
| Selection Criteria Artwork must be appropriate for public display in a government building and comply with the Community Gallery Guidelines adopted by City Council Artwork must be ready-to-hang (and must not exceed 40" in the longest dimension) Please make sure that wire or D-rings are attached firmly to the back of the piece (NO sawtooth hangers permitted). Make sure your frames are gallery quality. Mats are not required although we do ask that you use only white. Clearly label the back of your work with your full name, medium and contact information. Odessa Arts reserves the right to exclude works from the exhibition that are not gallery-ready and professional in presentation. |
